Egge is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and legal environment for all users. The following sections outline content that is not permitted on our platform. These rules exist to protect user experience, uphold platform integrity, and ensure compliance with local and international laws. Users are encouraged to report violations or potential violations and seek support if they feel unsafe.
This section covers content that could cause real-world harm or violate the law. Egge prohibits such material to protect users from dangerous content and to comply with applicable local, national, and international laws. By forbidding illegal and harmful content, we safeguard our community’s well-being and uphold the platform’s legal obligations and integrity.
Content that promotes, depicts, or instructs in criminal activities is not permitted. This includes encouraging violence, theft, hacking, drug manufacturing, human trafficking, or any other unlawful acts. All content must comply with applicable laws and regulations; material that would violate any law (e.g., incitement to crime) is strictly prohibited.
Promotion of hazardous stunts, substance abuse, or challenges likely to cause harm are not permitted.
Content that promotes terrorism, extremist ideologies, or organizations is strictly prohibited. Any praise, support, or propaganda for extremist groups, terrorist acts, or extremist violence is not allowed on Egge. This includes recruiting for extremist organizations or glorifying their actions. Such content violates laws in many jurisdictions and poses serious risks to public safety.
Users may not use Egge to buy, sell, or trade illegal or highly regulated goods and services. Content facilitating transactions involving drugs, firearms, explosives, or other illicit products is not permitted. Posts offering controlled substances or seeking unlawful services (such as prostitution or contract killing) are forbidden and may be reported to authorities.
Excessively graphic violence or gore, or content that displays, celebrates, or glorifies violence, is not allowed. Content depicting or promoting animal cruelty or abuse is prohibited. Realistic portrayals of people or animals being neglected, harmed, tortured, or killed are prohibited, especially if intended to shock or sicken.
Posts that encourage, promote, or glorify suicide, self-mutilation, eating disorders, or other forms of self-harm are prohibited. This rule exists to protect vulnerable users and prevent harm; supportive discussions seeking help are allowed, but any glamorization or incitement of self-harm is not.
We strive to create a platform that supports open expression while protecting our community from content that could be harmful or distressing. Discussions about personal trauma can be valuable for healing and connection, but they must be handled with care to avoid triggering or upsetting others. This section outlines our approach to managing traumatic or sensitive content, so that users can share their experiences in a way that respects the well-being of the broader community.
2.3.1 Traumatic or Sensitive Content in Public Spaces: In public posts or comments, detailed descriptions of personal trauma, such as sexual abuse, violence, or other deeply distressing experiences, are not permitted. This rule exists to protect all users, including the privacy of those sharing content and users who may be potentially harmed by unintended exposure to triggering or harmful material.
2.3.2 Traumatic or Sensitive Content in Private Spaces: In private or friends-only spaces, supportive discussions of personal trauma are allowed, provided they do not violate other guidelines. However, graphic depictions of trauma are still prohibited if they could harm others, exploit individuals, or break other rules (e.g., threats of ongoing harm, underage involvement). Egge reserves the right to remove any content that crosses these boundaries, even in private settings.
TThis section addresses content that undermines a respectful user experience or targets people for abuse. Egge is dedicated to fostering an inclusive community, so we forbid hate speech and harassment.
Content that attacks or incites violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics is not permitted. This includes derogatory slurs, epithets, or insults targeting race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected traits. Even veiled or coded language that promotes bigotry or prejudice is prohibited. Egge will remove any content that violates civil rights or hate speech laws and creates a hostile environment for marginalized groups.
Content that harasses, bullies, or encourages others to harass an individual or group is not allowed. Personal attacks, persistent unwanted contact, or posts mocking, humiliating, or doxing (exposing someone’s personal information) are prohibited. This includes sexual harassment, body-shaming, or any form of malicious personal ridicule. Content that intentionally inflicts emotional distress on others undermines user safety and will be removed.
Threatening language or content that expresses a sincere intent to harm someone (physically, sexually, or otherwise) is strictly forbidden. You may not post threats to kill, injure, or otherwise inflict violence on any person or group, nor may you encourage others to do so. Threats of damage to property or encouraging self-harm are also prohibited. Such content is not only against our policy but may be illegal, and Egge will cooperate with law enforcement as needed.
Content intended to provoke anger or hostility, such as inflammatory statements designed to incite arguments, is prohibited. Additionally, deliberately provoking hostile replies for the purpose of reporting comments or responses is also prohibited.
This section covers pornography, sexually explicit material, and sexual exploitation. Egge aims to maintain a platform appropriate for a broad audience and to comply with decency laws and child protection regulations. Sexual content rules are in place to prevent user discomfort, protect minors, and avoid illegal or exploitative material on our platform.
This section applies to sexual content that could be considered explicit, graphic, or otherwise adult-oriented. Egge disallows overtly pornographic material in any publicly viewable areas to comply with decency standards and protect underage users. Friends-only or private spaces are still subject to certain legal and ethical limits. Any pornographic or explicit content can be removed at any time if deemed unfit for the platform.
4.1.1 Minors Sharing Sexual Content: Absolutely no sexual content involving minors is ever allowed. See Minor Safety (Child Sexual Abuse Material), § 4.3, for our zero-tolerance policy. Minors are also prohibited from sharing or engage with any form of sexual content on Egge, regardless of the context or visibility settings. Violations will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to authorities.
4.1.2 Adult Users Sharing Sexual Content: Overtly sexual content, including pornographic material or explicit sexual acts, is not permitted in public posts. This includes images, videos, or detailed descriptions intended to arouse. Adult users may share sexual content in friends-only or private spaces, provided it does not violate other guidelines (e.g., non-consensual material, exploitation, or underage involvement). Egge reserves the right to remove any content deemed inappropriate, harmful, or in violation of other rules, even in private contexts.
4.1.3 Promoting Sexual Content: Posting or promoting subscription-based adult content (e.g., OnlyFans) even if not graphically explicit, is only permitted in private or friends-only spaces and must not violate any other guidelines (e.g., minor sharing sexual content, child protection, non-consensual material). Repeated or spam-like linking to these platforms is not allowed (see §8.1 for spam and repetitive content). Direct solicitation or offers for in-person sexual services (such as prostitution or escorting) remain prohibited in all areas of Egge.
Protecting individuals from sexual exploitation is vital for user safety and platform integrity. Non-consensual sexual content is illegal in most jurisdictions and fundamentally violates personal rights. Egge has a zero-tolerance policy for this content and prohibits such material in all areas of the platform, whether public or private, real or fictional.
4.2.1 Rape Content: Sexual assault or rape content, including descriptions, images, or videos depicting non-consensual acts, even if fictional or fantasy, is not permitted anywhere on Egge.
4.2.2 Non-Consensual Content or Revenge Porn: Revenge porn or sharing of intimate material (images, videos, or messages) without the subject’s consent is strictly forbidden, regardless of the post's visibility. This includes deepfakes or synthetic media that depict individuals in sexual situations without their consent.
4.2.3 Encouragement for Non-Consensual Acts: Any content that encourages, praises, or instructs others to engage in non-consensual sexual activity is prohibited.
4.2.4 Sextortion and Threats of Sharing Intimate Content: Threatening to share or actually sharing intimate content without consent, including for the purpose of extortion (sextortion), is strictly prohibited. This includes any form of blackmail, coercion, or manipulation involving private sexual material. Such behavior is a severe violation and may result in account termination and legal action.
Egge enforces a zero-tolerance policy for content involving sexualization of minors. Such material is not only a severe breach of our community standards but is also universally illegal. We comply fully with international child protection laws and work to keep our platform safe for minors.
4.3.1 Sexual Minor Content: Any sexual content featuring minors is strictly prohibited in all spaces, including images, videos, descriptions, references, or role-play scenarios, even if non-graphic.
4.3.2 Minor Solicitation: Attempts to groom, solicit, or exploit minors for sexual purposes, publicly or privately, will result in immediate account termination and possible referral to authorities.
4.3.3: Age Misrepresentation: Falsifying age, whether to appear older or younger, is not permitted. It is strictly prohibited to falsely present yourself as an adult when you are a minor, or as a minor when you are an adult. If you've entered your birthday incorrectly, please reach out to our support team, and we'll assist you in correcting it.
This section covers privacy rights and personal data. To maintain user trust and platform integrity, Egge forbids sharing personal or confidential information without consent. These rules align with privacy laws (such as GDPR and other data protection regulations) and protect individuals from harassment, identity theft, or other harms that can result from privacy violations.
Content that exposes someone's personal information without permission is not allowed. This includes posting addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, financial information, social security or national ID numbers, or other sensitive identifiers of a private individual. Doxing (revealing someone's identity or personal details with malicious intent) is strictly prohibited. Users must respect others' privacy and comply with data protection laws when sharing content.
You may not share private content (such as friends only or close friends posts, personal emails, texts, chat logs, or private photos/videos) of someone else without their consent. Even if the material was obtained legitimately, distributing it on Egge without permission violates privacy. Repetitively breaching someone's privacy in content can lead to suspension.
Egge is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment where users' privacy is respected and protected. Unauthorized surveillance, stalking, and attempts to evade platform controls (such as blocks) are serious violations that undermine trust and can cause real harm. This section details the behaviors and content that are strictly prohibited to safeguard our users from privacy invasions, harassment, and unwanted monitoring.
5.3.1 Unauthorized Surveillance: Content involving unauthorized surveillance, such as hidden-camera footage, spyware, or any other form of monitoring without consent either digital or physical, is prohibited. This includes sharing or promoting tools designed for such purposes.
5.3.2 Stalking and Tracking: Posting or sharing content that enables stalking, such as someone's location or personal details without their consent, is not allowed. This includes using or promoting technology (e.g., tracking links, IP loggers) to monitor or track individuals without their knowledge, as well as encouraging others to stalk or harass someone, whether online or offline.
5.3.3 Block Evasion: Attempting to evade blocks by creating new accounts or using other methods to stalk, harass, or continue unwanted contact with someone who has blocked you is strictly prohibited. This includes recreating accounts, using alternate platforms, or leveraging someone else's account to bypass restrictions. Such actions are considered harassment and will result in enforcement measures.
This section addresses content that misleads or deceives others, such as impersonation, misinformation, and synthetic media. Egge aims to maintain a trustworthy platform where users can share accurate and reliable information. Misinformation can cause real-world harm, so we prohibit content that intentionally misleads or creates false narratives.
Users may not impersonate others or misrepresent their identity in a deceptive manner. Creating an account or posting content that pretends to be another person or organization (including Egge staff) with intent to mislead is prohibited. Parody or fan accounts must be clearly labeled as such to avoid confusion. Deceptive impersonation undermines trust and is subject to removal.
Misleading or demonstrably false content that could directly endanger public health or safety (e.g., false medical advice or conspiracy theories posing immediate harm) is not prohibited.
Content that uses synthetic media must not mislead or deceive others. This includes using AI-generated images, videos, or audio to impersonate someone else or create false narratives. If you share synthetic content, it must be clearly labeled as such to avoid confusion. Misleading synthetic content that could cause harm or violate other guidelines (e.g., impersonation, misinformation) is not allowed. Egge enforces a zero-tolerance policy on non-consensual sexual deepfakes (see §4.2.2 Non-Consensual or Exploitative Sexual Content).
This section deals with copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property (IP). Egge respects creators' rights and requires users to do the same. Content that infringes on someone else's IP rights is not allowed, in accordance with laws like the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) in the US and international copyright treaties. Protecting IP ensures a fair platform and avoids legal liability for both users and Egge.
Egge respects creators' rights and requires users to do the same.
Unauthorized use of copyrighted content is not permitted. Users must not post content (text, images, music, videos, software, etc.) that they do not own or have permission to use. This includes full works or significant excerpts from books, articles, songs, movies, or artwork that are protected by copyright. If you share content you didn't create, you must have the legal right to do so. Egge will remove infringing material upon notice and may terminate repeat infringers' accounts in line with copyright law requirements. Limited use of copyrighted material may be permitted under fair use principles (e.g., short excerpts for education or critique), but users are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Content that infringes trademarks or misuses brand identities is prohibited. Users should not use others' logos, brand names, or slogans in a way that confuses others or implies false endorsement. Impersonating a brand or falsely claiming an affiliation to a trademark owner is not allowed (see also §6.1 on impersonation). Egge respects trademark rights globally; any content causing consumer confusion or diluting a famous mark will be removed.
Egge does not allow content that facilitates piracy or the distribution of counterfeit goods. Posts sharing links to pirated software, movies, music, or other media are prohibited. Likewise, content advertising or selling counterfeit products (fake designer goods, forged documents, etc.) is not permitted. Promoting techniques to circumvent copyright protections (like DRM cracks) is also disallowed. Such activities are illegal in many jurisdictions, and Egge will remove this content to comply with IP laws.
This section covers spam, scams, and other malicious content that undermine the platform's usability and security. Egge strives to keep the user experience free of unwanted solicitations and to protect users from fraud and cyber harm. Content that is deceptive or disruptive, including spammy advertising, malicious software, and deception is forbidden. These rules maintain platform integrity and discourage involvement in illegal fraudulent schemes.
Unwanted promotional or repetitive content is not allowed. Users may not mass-post the same message, post off-topic advertisements, or excessively solicit others (commercially or otherwise). This includes posting links solely to drive traffic, sending bulk unsolicited messages, or creating content that is considered spam under applicable laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM Act for commercial messages). Content should be authentic and relevant; coordinated campaigns to clutter the platform with ads or duplicative content will be removed.
Any content that attempts to defraud users or phish for personal information is prohibited. This includes scams like pyramid schemes, "get rich quick" cons, fake giveaways, or posts impersonating legitimate institutions to trick users into providing sensitive data or money. You may not post fraudulent offers (such as false investment opportunities or counterfeit charity appeals). Egge will remove deceptive content and may ban users engaging in fraud. Such conduct can carry legal consequences under fraud and cybercrime statutes.
Content containing or linking to malware, viruses, or other harmful code is not permitted. Users must not share programs or files intended to damage or unauthorizedly access others' devices or accounts. Instructions or encouragement to create malware, engage in denial-of-service attacks, or exploit security vulnerabilities are also forbidden (and may fall under Illegal Activities §1.1). For the security of our community, any content that could compromise devices, data, or network integrity will be removed immediately.
This section addresses behaviors that threaten Egge's platform integrity, such as impersonation, manipulation, or evading moderation. These rules exist to ensure a fair and trustworthy environment. By preventing misuse of accounts and features, we protect the community from deception and maintain the platform's reliability. Some of these behaviors may also violate Egge's Terms of Service or even applicable laws (e.g., computer fraud statutes).
Attempts to circumvent platform controls or penalties are not permitted. If your content is removed or your account is suspended, you must not create new accounts or use other means to evade those enforcement actions. Similarly, deliberately altering banned content (e.g., using obfuscated text or images) to slip past content filters is prohibited. Such evasion tactics show intentional disregard for the rules and will result in escalated enforcement, up to permanent account termination.
Any coordinated activity that manipulates Egge's systems or other users is forbidden. This includes using bots or scripts to artificially inflate view counts, likes, or other engagement metrics. Coordinating with others to falsely report content, or to vote or promote content en masse for deceptive purposes (e.g., astroturfing), is not allowed. Users must not exploit bugs or platform features to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt others' experience.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to Egge's services, user accounts, or data. Posting content that reveals platform vulnerabilities or encourages others to hack or attack Egge's infrastructure is prohibited (see also §1.1 on illegal hacking content). Any action that undermines the security or availability of Egge's services, such as sharing exploits or performing “dDoS testing” without permission, is a serious violation. We take platform security seriously and will act decisively against such misuse.
You may not share links to content that would breach these Community Guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, links to illegal activities, violent or graphic content, harassment, pornography, sexual exploitation, scams or malicious content, or any other material outlined as unacceptable in the sections above. Using methods to disguise or obscure the nature of linked content is not allowed. This includes URL shorteners, QR codes, encoded text, redirects, or any method that disguises the link or leads to a final destination containing prohibited content.
Egge moderators will enforce these guidelines to maintain a safe and lawful platform. If you violate any of the above rules, you may face one or more of the following actions. Enforcement is applied case-by-case, considering the severity of the violation and the user's past behavior. Our goal is to correct issues and protect the community; however, egregious or repeated violations will result in stricter penalties.
Content Removal: Violating content (posts, comments, images, etc.) will be removed. Egge reserves the right to delete any content that breaches our standards without prior notice to the poster. In many cases, you will be notified of the removal and the specific rule that was violated (e.g., “Violation of rule 3.2 Harassment or Bullying”) .
Warnings and Education: For first-time or less severe violations, you may receive a warning. Your post, comment, or content may be removed as part of the warning. This usually comes with an explanation of which rule was broken. You may also be asked to review the guidelines again to ensure understanding of the rules.
Temporary Suspension: More serious or repeated violations can result in a temporary account suspension. During suspension, you will not be able to post or interact on Egge for a designated period. The duration may escalate for repeated issues (e.g., 24-hour ban, then 7-day ban, etc.). You will be informed of the suspension length and the violation that prompted it.
Permanent Suspension: Egge may permanently terminate your account for severe violations or repeated misconduct. Examples include posting illegal content, making credible violent threats, or consistently disregarding multiple content rules. A banned user is prohibited from creating new accounts per §9.1 Evasion of Suspension or Filters.
Reporting to Authorities: If your content violates the law or suggests an imminent risk to someone's safety, Egge may report it to appropriate law enforcement or regulatory agencies. For instance, any evidence of child exploitation (see §4.3) or credible threats of violence (§3.3) will be forwarded to law enforcement as required by law. We cooperate with legal authorities to the extent allowed by privacy laws and our Terms of Service.
To appeal a decision, submit a request to moderation team within 30 days. Include details of the violation and why you believe it was an error. Appeals are reviewed when the team is available, but enforcement remains active during the process.
All enforcement decisions are made to preserve the user experience, integrity, and legal compliance of the platform. If you believe your content was removed or your account was penalized in error, you can appeal the decision through the proper channels. However, during the review process, the enforcement (removal or suspension) will typically remain in effect. Remember that by using Egge, you agree to these content guidelines and understand that violating them has consequences. Our aim is to ensure Egge remains a safe, enjoyable, and lawful community for everyone.
The Community Guidelines were last updated on July 5th, 2025.
